Selection & placement

01How do I choose an acoustic pod size for the number of users and the task?

Match occupancy before finishes. The manual maps the 1075 W x 990 D x 2300 H mm S1 to a one-person Telephone Cabin, the 1638 W x 1282 D x 2300 H mm M1 to a two-person Double communication cabin, and the 2200 W x 2032 D x 2300 H mm XL to a Business class for six. Also check the task, session length, furniture, internal clearance, delivery route and available floor area before ordering an office phone booth or meeting pod.

02Why must an acoustic pod stand on a level floor?

An uneven floor can twist the pod enough to misalign the glass door. Misalignment creates uneven contact with the seals, which can reduce the acoustic seal and make the door difficult to close. Level the pod with its adjustable casters or feet and recheck the door before use.

03Why must the acoustic pod door not open beyond 120 degrees?

The manual limits the maximum swing to 120 degrees because a wider opening puts extra stress on the hinges and can shorten their service life. Normal use is approximately 90-100 degrees. Avoid pushing, pulling, slamming or striking the glass door, and consider a suitable door stop where the site needs one.

04How does the top-inlet, bottom-outlet fresh-air system work?

Hidden fans draw air through the top inlet and discharge it through the lower side outlet, creating a top-to-bottom exchange path. A mechanical control adjusts fan speed. Keep both grilles clear and remember that the acoustic pod is designed for indoor use and is not waterproof.

05What is the difference between a fan airflow rating and actual whole-pod ventilation?

The manual gives 115 m3/h (68 CFM) as the free-air rating of one 12025 fan. Multiplying that number by the fan count only gives a theoretical component total; it is not a measured whole-pod air-change rate. Installed airflow also depends on grilles, resistance, leakage, fan setting and the completed enclosure.

06How should I interpret the acoustic pod fan's 39 dB noise rating?

The 39 dB figure is the manual's rating for a single fan. The manual does not state the measurement distance, test environment or installed operating condition, so it should not be presented as occupied pod noise or sound-insulation performance. Compare fan noise, whole-pod acoustic evidence and ventilation comfort as separate specifications.

07How do I set the motion-sensor light delay?

Disconnect power, pull down the round light and locate the rectangular controller. The black switch is factory-set to All Day; move it to the required delay position, restore power and allow the controller to self-test by turning on, turning off and waiting about 30 seconds. Pods made in December 2024 or earlier may place the controller elsewhere, so verify the production date first.

08What should I check first when an acoustic pod light flickers or does not turn on?

First isolate power. Then check the external input voltage, the fuse and the round-light or strip-light connectors for loose or disconnected wiring. If the connector is secure, a qualified technician can test voltage at the specified connector; voltage present with no stable light output indicates that the lamp may need replacement.

09How do I troubleshoot a fan that does not run or makes an unusual noise?

Disconnect power, then check input voltage, the fuse and the fan connector. If voltage reaches a correctly connected fan but it does not run, the fan may require replacement. For unusual noise, check whether the fan housing touches another object, power wire or cable before deciding that the fan itself is faulty.

18How does lighting control differ between S-series and M/L/XL acoustic pods?

The S series uses an LED round light controlled by a motion sensor. M, L and XL multi-person pods combine a motion-sensor strip light with one or more LED round lights controlled by a mechanical switch. Confirm the actual item and wiring diagram before replacing controls or lamps.

Glass door & acoustic seal

10Why does a poorly sealed glass door reduce sound insulation?

A gap between the glass door and sealing strip creates a direct path for speech and background noise. The pod panels may still absorb sound, but an uneven perimeter seal weakens the enclosure as a system. Floor level, door alignment and even seal contact should be checked together.

11How do I adjust the gap between the glass door and the sealing strip?

Use the adjustable foot near the affected gap or its diagonal opposite point, depending on whether the gap is at the top or bottom. Make only small changes and inspect alignment after each adjustment. If one point does not correct the seal, balance the current point with the diagonal point rather than forcing the door tighter.

12How do I adjust a glass door whose lower edge touches the frame?

This is a heavy-door adjustment. Slightly loosen, but do not remove, the three hinge fixing screws; support and lift the outside lower edge of the glass door; hold it in position; then fully tighten all three screws before releasing the door. Two people or a professional installer should perform the work.

13Why can the acoustic pod door lock feel tight when closing?

The manual explains that some closing resistance is normal because the door needs compression against the seal for acoustic performance. A tight feel should still be distinguished from scraping, misalignment or excessive force. Check the floor level and door-to-seal gap if closing behavior changes.

14What is the safe opening angle for an acoustic pod glass door?

The normal opening range is about 90-100 degrees and the stated maximum is 120 degrees. Do not force the glass door past that limit or allow it to slam. Site layouts should leave a controlled swing area without obstacles.

15What are the hinge load rating and glass-door weight?

The manual specifies a matte-black zinc-alloy hinge at approximately 30 kg capacity. Three hinges provide an indicated combined capacity of about 90 kg, while the glass door has a stated net weight of about 43 kg. These figures do not remove the need to support the door safely during adjustment.

16Which acoustic pod parts are consumables or wear items?

The manual lists the round light, strip light, fan, socket, sensor, cables and wires, hinges, door lock, handles and glass as consumable, fragile or wear-related items. Inspection intervals depend on actual use, and replacement electrical work should be performed with power isolated by a qualified person.

17What does the acoustic pod warranty cover and exclude?

The source manual states one-year coverage for fragile, consumable and wear items damaged by non-human causes, plus lifetime maintenance and repair service. It excludes damage caused by people or natural disasters and says related service is chargeable. The signed sales contract, destination law and order-specific warranty terms must be checked because they govern the actual purchase.

19Why must power be disconnected before acoustic pod maintenance?

Lighting, fans, sockets, sensors and connectors are part of the electrical system. Disconnecting and verifying power isolation reduces shock, short-circuit and unintended-start risks while covers or connectors are open. The manual's diagrams support trained service work; they do not replace local electrical rules or a qualified technician.

20How do I read the acoustic pod factory inspection certificate?

The certificate template records Product name, Specification, Production date and Inspector. Its statement indicates that the listed product was inspected, met the stated quality standard and was approved to leave the factory. Match every field to the delivered item and treat the certificate as a factory release record, not as a third-party product certification.
